The terms of the house

LOREMONSTER is an editorial and research tool for secondhand and archive fashion: it produces opinions — verdicts, scores, market reads, lore — to inform your own judgment. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Not an authentication service. Reports flag risks and tell you what proof to demand, but no verdict is a guarantee that an item is genuine, correctly described, or worth a price. Always verify before you pay.

Not a marketplace, and not a party to your purchases. Transactions happen on third-party platforms (eBay and others) under their terms. Estimated values are editorial estimates, not appraisals or financial advice.

Outbound marketplace links may carry affiliate tags that earn us a commission if you buy. Commissions never influence a verdict — an honest PASS is the product.

You keep the rights to what you submit (screenshots, text, photos, your wardrobe). You grant us the license needed to process it — to generate your reports, sync your archive, and run the features you use. Only submit what you have the right to share, and don't publish someone else's private information through a public profile.

Don't abuse the service: no scraping or bulk-automating the AI endpoints, no attempting to bypass rate limits or bot protection, no using the site for anything unlawful, and no misrepresenting LOREMONSTER output as a certificate of authenticity when you resell.

Designer, house, and brand names appear to identify garments and their history (nominative use). LOREMONSTER is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. Site content — the reports, the canon, the plates — belongs to LOREMONSTER; the history belongs to everyone.

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. We may update these terms; material changes get a new effective date on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA.
