Rassi, Shternlicht & Mana — building 1996, studio opened 1998 (the single 'founding year' is disputed)

A former Saks warehouse at 450 West 15th Street, in a still-raw Meatpacking District — photography, runway, production, and gallery under one roof. From 2009, MADE Fashion Week ran the anti-fee model out of it ('why tax the creator?' — Rassi): free space, production, and makeup for the downtown generation. Google bought the building in 2019; the institution moved on — the record of the room remains.
